I have a mental disability and I have no responsibility for any legal or financial contracts I may enter, as I was assigned a payee for my benefits for first 3 years of my benefit from SS, and was in therapy for first 6 years of my condition. I will always have this mental defect, and I am living in the clinical conditions I have been prescribed and following all laws and therapies to the letter. Why do I have to trust that this student loan lender is reality? I was not prepared to be in debt when I worked as a dishwasher at a college in Montana, and I dispute all responsibility to “repay” this “loan”.
Depends on what the small print in your loan states. There are so many different kinds (subsidized, unsubsidized, state, federal, private companies, etc) For the most part, yes, they have the right to take money to pay it off. However, if you are on complete disability, then some loans (a very small amount) are written off. My best advice, read the loan agreement that you made.
